Pledge Drive: Day 3!

As of noon today, we have reached $8750. Our goal of $30,000 is seeming that much closer thanks to you, our amazing supporters!

Tune in all of Sunday because it’s a eclectic mix of programming. Daybreak in Dixie raised an INCREDIBLE $2,500 this morning. From 11am to 5pm, we have our solid ethno-cultural block representing India, Portugal, Brazil, Bosnia, Macedonia and Serbia. These shows are the cornerstone to CJAM’s programming and we’re helping to break the mold by broadcasting in as many languages as we can. In the afternoon and evening, we have Canadian Musicology, Positive Amplitude, Orbis Tarrarvm, Night Vision and Minced Meat. Give back to the shows you listen to week to week by donating and supporting the station. From Windsor, it’s 519-971-3630 and in Detroit, 313-963-6112 ext. 3630. You can also donate at any time at cjam.ca.

Last night in Detroit, the Cadieux Cafe was packed with CJAM supporters and fans of The Muggs, Doop (of the Inside Outlaw), Grayling, and Class Three Overbite. Thanks to Willy Willson for organizing a great night, the bands for playing and everyone who attended and made it a HUGE success!

Tonight, Sunday November 6th, why not take in a movie with CJAM? Heck! Make it two! Starting at 8pm at Phog Lounge (19+ welcome), we will be showing the new film “Nirvana – Live at the Paramount” (presented in collaboration with A Man, A Plan, A Canal).  This is a live performance from 1991. Check out the trailer here! And keeping with this year’s theme Stayin’ Alive, we’ll be showing Saturday Night Fever! Yes, the classic 1977 John Travolta drama about life, love and disco. Come down to Phog (157 University Avenue West, Windsor) for this night of films, fun, fundraiser and friends.  It’s by donation, so pay what you can!

Quality programming is truly the best incentive we offer, but to wear your love, we do have some seriously sweet swag. Again, call in from Windsor: 519-971-3630 and in Detroit, 313-963-6112 ext. 3630. We can’t wait to hear from you!
