CJAM 99.1 FM is excited to announce the dates for their annual Pledge Drive fundraiser. The “We Are CJAM” fundraising drive will begin Friday October 28th at 12:30PM and run until Friday November 4th at 1PM. It is the only time of year CJAM reaches out to the community for financial support to continue daily operations at the station. CJAM relies heavily on annual contributions from listeners and this year there are many ways to show support. CJAM’s goal is $40,000, representing 25% of the station’s annual budget.
This year, CJAM is offering the following incentives for different donation levels. $5 – CJAM sticker $10-20 – music prize pack (CDs or vinyl) $50 – CJAM t-shirt in teal or blue $100 – CJAM zip-up sweatshirt
Gift certificates from local businesses, art prints, and more will also be available as incentives. Individuals looking to donate can call in during the CJAM Pledge Drive week at 519-971-3630 (Windsor) // 1-855-344-2526 (Detroit and around the world – toll free) Donations are also accepted online at the CJAM Grouprev Page via a secure online donation system.
“We have been reaching higher ground broadcasting at 2,084 watts for a little over two years now, and we are hoping to see support from new listeners who didn’t receive CJAM on their dials previously. Being a hyper-focused campus/community radio station allows us to provide news and music you won’t hear anywhere else in the Windsor- Detroit area and Pledge Drive is integral to our operations. Without yearly support from listeners, CJAM FM would not exist today.” – Brady Holek, Station Manager
CJAM will be presenting three live music events as a part of the “We Are CJAM” Pledge Drive, featuring top charting artists from Windsor and Detroit. These events represent the variety of music CJAM offers, and celebrates the success of these artists in the community. Entry to each event is $5 at the door with all proceeds going to the “We Are CJAM” Pledge Drive.

“I’m excited about all the events, but the show at UFO Factory in Detroit is particularly significant. We have been trying to reach out into the Detroit community and are more involved than ever, emceeing concerts and events and broadcasting with more Detroit hosts than ever before. Detroit is where a huge portion of our listeners are located and I’m happy that we are bridging the gap and hosting events on both sides of the border as part of Pledge Drive this year.” – Brady Holek, Station Manager
