Job Posting: Promotions Coordinator/Content Creator

CJAM 99.1 FM — Student Media/University of Windsor –– is hiring for the position of Promotions and Content Coordinator. This part time position is 30 hours per week for nine weeks and is made possible through Canada Summer Jobs. This position is work-from-home.

All candidates must:

– be between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment – This is a requirement of Canada Summer Jobs

– be a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act

– be legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial / territorial legislation and regulations

CJAM is a nonprofit volunteer-driven campus-based community radio station providing an alternative to the music and spoken-word programming featured in the mainstream media — serving listener communities that are often under represented or maligned.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

-work with CJAM’s program director to create topical weekly content for broadcast including, but not limited to, advertisements, public service announcements and interviews

-prepare strategies for enhancing CJAM’s relationship with the University of Windsor for the 2020-2021 school year

-create content for CJAM’s social media platforms to promote the station, its programs and events in the community 

-work on strategies for promoting CJAM to the UWindsor and Windsor-Detroit communities with goals of increasing listenership and volunteer engagement

-work on strategies for creating digital volunteering opportunities


-excellent interpersonal and communication skills

-strong independent work ethic and time management skills

-computer and basic radio/audio production skills

-knowledge of various social media platforms

-graphic design experience an asset


-30 hours per week – 9 week period – $14.00 per hour
