Robert Mittag wasn’t looking for a fight when he took a stand at city council demanding that Councillor Al Magnieh step down earlier this year after it was discovered he had abused a credit card issued to him as chair of the Windsor library board. In a city with so many needs and the highest unemployment rate in the country, Magnieh’s abuse of the credit card was a real affront to many people.
As Mittag exercised his right to protest Mr Magnieh’s refusal to step down, he was recently charged with loitering and trespass and was barred from city hall and council meetings. Even the Windsor Police Service said Mittag can’t be charged with these things. If Mittag can be bullied this way then anyone can. Hear Robert’s story at 4:30 on The ShakeUp.
