Welcoming Brady Holek – CJAM’s New Program Director

CJAM 99.1 FM (Windsor-Detroit) is pleased to announce the hire of Brady Holek as the station’s new Program Director.

Holek – who will be entering the University of Windsor’s Masters in Communications and Social Justice program in September — first joined CJAM in 2012. After volunteering throughout the summer, he began to host the music variety program The Soundtrack Attack, which generally revolves around music from films.

“I have had a great time working on the show,” says Holek. “And, because of all the volunteering I did, I got to fill in as Program Director every once in a while when vacations were taken. I kept volunteering at CJAM throughout the school year and was eventually invited to become part of the board of directors in 2013. That experience was very eye-opening for me and I got to learn a lot about how CJAM and the CRTC operate.”

Aside from CJAM, Holek enjoys hanging out with Carley Schweitzer (co-host of The Soundtrack Attack), walking their dog Kojak, volunteering at Border City Brawlers roller derby games, and watching movies.

“I am very excited and enthusiastic about working with everyone at CJAM — staff and volunteers alike,” Holek says. “I hope to be meeting all the volunteers in the next few weeks and look forward to talking with everyone face to face.”
