Changes at CJAM FM!

Changes are happening at CJAM FM with some of our long-time programmers!

Abomb lauren

The Windsor Scene is a staple program here at CJAM FM. Although there have been many past hosts, Lauren Hedges has been helming The Windsor Scene for the past seven years. Throughout her time, Lauren has interviewed countless artists,  provided the community with information on where to bring their ears in the coming week, and played more local music than any other program on our airwaves. Aside from her music program, Lauren has also covered many live concerts via her stellar band photography, allowing us to catch a glimpse of the live experience. Further to this, Lauren has been working with staff to help train and introduce a new volunteer, Mirella Kami-Ntahonsigaye, as the new host of The Windsor Scene. Lauren’s work at CJAM FM has been invaluable, and Mirella has already shown that she is the perfect person to pass the program torch to with some very strong opening episodes. We can’t wait to hear where Mirella takes The Windsor Scene in the future.  And keep your ears to the radio because Lauren may return one day hosting a new show of her own or filling in with specialty programming.

Another long-time programmer at CJAM FM is moving on to new heights. A-Bomb’s Dance Explosion has keeping the electronic beat on CJAMs airwaves for the last eight years and if you’ve ever tuned in on Thursday nights after 10:30pm you’ll know what we mean. Throughout his tenure, host Angelo has highlighted a wide variety of new and emerging electronic and dance artists along with music from all your underground favourites. Angelo will be sorely missed for his smooth night-time DJ voice and invaluable exposure to new music.

CJAM FM would like to personally thank both of these long-time veteran volunteers for all their hard work and dedication over their many years at the station. We could not run as smoothly as we do without the help from our incredible volunteer base. Thank you for making the Windsor and Detroit airwaves more musically diverse for everyone!
