We are getting very close to our CJAM 40 Years on FM Fall Pledge Drive! The dates you gotta know are:
Saturday, November 11th, we will start the pledge drive at noon.
The Pledge Drive will continue until Saturday, November 18th.
You don’t have to wait until these dates to make a pledge. You can redirect yourself here and make a pledge to help CJAM cover our operational costs for the next fiscal year. Your donation will help the station cover staff salaries, insurance, paying for SOCAN tariff fees, helping us to cover costs to print pamphlets and flyers, and the many other miscellaneous costs that go into a campus community radio station!
Some other important dates to jot down in your notebook:
Tuesday, November 14th, 12pm to 4pm: CJAM will turn 40 years old on the FM dial. Feel free to visit CJAM (located in the basement of the CAW Student Center on the University of Windsor campus). We’ll have cake, and a fun chance to meet CJAM DJ’s and staff.
Friday, November 17th, 7pm to 2am:
40th Anniversary Community Showcase at Villains. Come check out storytellers, live music from emerging Windsor musicians, and live DJ sets. Suggested $10 donation.
Saturday, November 18th, 7pm to 12am: CJAM 40 Years on FM Party taking place at Art Windsor Essex. Speeches start at 7:20pm. Live music goes from 8PM to midnight including Dale D’Amore, DJ Psy-Chick, Ron Leary and DATSUNN. Live broadcast of the event can be listened to on CJAM.ca or 99.1 FM for listeners in Windsor/Detroit. Please RSVP here. Suggested $10-20 donation but we will not turn anyone away if they can’t donate those funds.
If you listen to CJAM, like the work we do here, and believe that campus community radio should be around for a long time to come, we need your support. Please make a pledge, tell your friends, family, co-workers… you get the idea. Any level of financial support helps out. Thank you.
Every time you tune in at 99.1 FM you’re hearing a volunteer on the air. Volunteers also help by maintaining our enormous music library, writing radio scrips, producing public service announcements, interviewing cool artists, reviewing music, helping out at festivals & events, updating our social media, and so much more!Volunteer Now
