Celebrating Canadian Progressive Rock on The Purple Room this Canada Day
Sunday, July 1 at 10:00 P.M. on CJAM 99.1 FM
It’s time to raid Dad’s closet. Get out the kimono, the velvet smoking jacket, the ’70s tennis racket. Put on a Rick Wakeman cape, try on a robe and nail those fuzzy slippers to the floor near a mic stand. Dine on honey dew and drink the milk of paradise you ask? You betcha! It’s The Purple Room’s homage to Canadian Progressive Rock this Canada Day, July 1, 2012. Starting at 10:00 P.M. this Sunday night – Julian Belanger will play an entire 2 hour set of Canadian Progressive Rock. You’ll hear from Rush, Symphonic Slam, Nash The Slash, The Box, Men Without Hats, Max Webster, FM, Saga, Voivod and the french scene from the ’70s in the Province of Quebec. Johnny Rotten was right when he wore the t-shirt “Pink Floyd Sucks” on BBC Television. Why? Because on this 2 hour CJAM broadcast…Canada PROG ROCKS!!!
