Asylum Windsor originally launched in 2019 to provide a dance night in Windsor for fans of dark alternative music from all eras, OG to brand new. This covers goth, industrial, postpunk, new wave, darkwave, EBM, dark pop, post-industrial and so on. Asylum Radio will focus not only on what could have been heard in clubs across eras, but also the great music that wouldn’t fit a dance floor, as well as occasional artist interviews—hosted by DJ Raev.
With working in a non-DJ capacity at venues such as Detroit’s Leland City Club in the late 90s, to DJing there in the early to mid 2010s, regularly guest DJing at Small’s in Hamtramck from 2015-current, to co-founding Asylum Windsor, DJ Raev has shown that the music is much more than just music, for some, it’s a way of life.

Every time you tune in at 99.1 FM you’re hearing a volunteer on the air.
