Tune in to Girlie So Groovie on Monday, February 25th as he plays YOUR favourite strong, black, female voices! This is an all-request show so be sure to get your requests to him ahead of time via the Girlie So Groovie Facebook fan page!

Revolution Rock, Tuesdays, February 5th, 10:30AM -noon
Revolution Rock celebrates Black History Month by venturing into genres that aren’t normally featured on the show such as Jazz, Blues, Soul, R&B, Reggae, etc. The show also focused on Miles Davis’ Kind of Blue from 1959, playing a selection of tracks from this highly influential and breakthrough album.

Pardon My French – Thursday, February 21, 2:30-4PM.
On February 14th, explore music recorded in France by African-Americans for the Pardon My French ‘Americans in Paris’ special.  From 20s era jazz up until the American Civil Rights movement, listen back on the music that these artists were not able to create and perform at home.  From Josephine Baker to Sidney Bechet to Nancy Holloway, you can’t miss this episode of Pardon My French.

Research Matters – Thursday, February 7, 4:30-5PM
