It seems like you can’t turn on the news without hearing another story of violence, kidnapping, or drug-related crime in or around Juarez, Mexico. It is, after all, one of the most dangerous cities in the world.Tony Perez-Giese, award-winning journalist and author, spent years living in El Paso, Texas, just five minutes from Juarez and yet a world away. His time there only fueled his interest in the “relationship” between El Paso and Juarez, the infamous drug-related violence along the border, and the ordinary people who get swept up (and often swept away) in it all. Tony Perez-Giese aims not only to shed light on the issues in Juarez and along the border line of the U.S. and Mexico, but also on the ease in which we often use tragedy as an excuse for change in our lives

He is the one talking about peace and love and understanding pretty often

CjamNews corespondent Nasir Shansab will explore why Afghan woman are still suffering extreme abuse. This will be a live correspondence from Kabul/Afghanistan.
