“…The number of migrants crossing the Mediterranean can surge by nearly three-fold to 500,000 this year”, the head of the UN maritime agency has warned.
The European Union has agreed on an action plan of 10 points in an attempt to find an answer to the influx of illegal migrants and prevent a tragedy like the one in which, in the Mediterranean Sea killing 900 people.
