J Dilla Day on CJAM – Feb 7th 2024

Dilla’s presence and musical influence can be found not only in the music produced in Detroit today, but across genres and artists around the world.

His story is one we’re proud to tell in Windsor and Detroit and one that is celebrated and felt strongly in hip hop.

While many of our hosts on CJAM honour the great J. Dilla throughout the year, each February 7th we dedicate our airwaves to the late, great producer and artist. This year we go back into our archives as well as broadcast some new tributes. The 7th marks Dilla’s birthday as well as the release date of the prolific ‘Donuts’. Tune in tomorrow to hear not only Dilla but a huge repertoire of artists he produced, collaborated with and influenced.
