CJAM Says Goodbye

With spring, comes graduation, moving and change. We will be losing some great shows over the summer. We would like to thank all the volunteers who contributed their time to programming wonderful shows and wish them the best of luck in the future.

The B-Team:
Straight out of England, Chris brought the electronic beats and ground-breaking dubstep with the B-Team. Topping off the weekend, The B-Team kept the party going from midnight to 2am every Monday morning.

Cancion Animal
Joel brought Spanish-language rock to the CJAM airwaves every Saturday afternoon. Tune in to his final show, Saturday April 28th from 5-6pm.

The Snark:
What the funk! We’re going to miss The Snark so badly. Mary’s thoughtful music selection brightened every Tuesday afternoon from 1-2:30pm.

Vis-à-vis:
Each week, Avinesh and Suzana enlightened us about the University of Windsor’s diverse student body by bringing in global voices on campus. Culture, history, music, food and personal stories were shared every Wednesday from 4:30-5pm on Vis-à-Vis.

Hiatus: While some shows will be leaving us, some are coming back as the leaves change.

Some Folks Get the Blues:
We’ll miss Devon’s Tuesday morning blues and folk from 9-10:30am. He’ll be back in the fall to bring us more tunes to get us through the week.

Ipso Facto:
Covering legal news and the University of Windsor Law School, Ipso Facto has been a collaborative effort between many hosts. Team leaders Maddy and Hayley are graduating from Law School and we wish them the best of luck. Find Ipso Facto back on our schedule this Fall with new host, Jerzy Cootauco. Their last show will be Monday, April 30th from 8 – 8:30pm.

Stay tuned to CJAM 99.1fm for all the updates in our schedule. If would like to volunteer and  you have an idea for a show, drop our Volunteer Coordinator, Sarah a line (vccjam@uwindsor.ca).
