Upcoming Stories on The Windsor Chronicle

The passing of June 28th marks the 100 year anniversary of the assassination of Franz Ferdinand and the start of World War One. This week on the Windsor Chronicle there will be a live interview from London, England with Mr. Neven Andjelic. He is a former prominent broadcaster who worked in Sarajevo in the late 1980s. He now works as a senior lecturer in international relations and human rights at Regents University in London. He is considered an expert on Balkan affairs and will give insight to the multiple viewpoints associated with the Ferdinand assassination.

Over the past month the first fully independent Afghanistan elections were held without foreign military help. The Windsor Chronicle will feature news correspondent Nassir Shansab, a former Afghan industrialist from the era before Soviet military intervention. He is a political analyst, writer and US adviser on Afghan affairs. Years ago Shansab had a breakfast meeting in Pakistan with Osama bin Laden, the Saudi national who was giving money to the resistance. It was at this meeting that Shansab took notice of bin Laden’s arrogance and contempt for the Afghan people. Join us this Friday to find out more about this important step in Afghan history.

This week’s Chronicle will also feature an interview with Windsor Mayer Eddie Francis discussing Windsor’s revised fire plan.
