ramonescbgb

August 16th 1974 marks the first time the Ramones played at CBGBs as a four piece band. Forty years later the Punk scene has grown and changed in many different ways. In a celebration of 40 years of Punk over 14 of CJAM’s volunteers will be doing punk specials on their programs all week long! We also have a special 4 hour block of all Punk programming created by CJAM’s own Joe McGregor which will air on Tuesday August 19th starting at midnight. We will cover punk’s origins, post-punk, new wave, hardcore, all Canadian, UK, Detroit Punk, and female fronted punk. CJAM 99.1 FM, celebrating 40 years of punk and redefining radio in Windsor and Detroit.
